Defrost water controller for air source heat pump ground support (FI501)

• Attaches to the ground support bracket of the outdoor unit. If your outdoor unit is mounted on a wall bracket, see the defrost water guide for wall bracket . The product directs the defrost water away from the building wall. Durable HDPE plastic prevents ice from sticking.

• Here's how to find out if the defrost water controller is compatible with your outdoor unit:

1. Mounting holes : Measure the distance between the mounting feet of the air source heat pump's outdoor unit (the points where the outdoor unit is attached to the ground support stand): the distance between the mounting holes for the defrost water guide is 50 cm. Note: You can drill new mounting holes in the defrost water guide at your own risk if the guide would fit other dimensions.
2. Width : Measure the inside width of the ground support stand. If the inside width is narrower than 77 cm, the defrost water diverter is not compatible with the stand.
3. Depth : Measure the inside depth of the ground support frame. If the inside depth is narrower than 30 cm, the defrost water diverter is not compatible with the frame.
4. The product is designed for Mitsubishi Electric air source heat pumps, but is also applicable to most other brands.

The defrost water guide is placed under the outdoor unit and is attached to the outdoor unit's ground support bracket. To minimize water freezing, the guide is made of HDPE plastic and its surface is extremely smooth, so that ice adhesion to the guide is minimized to the same level as on a Teflon surface!
