Toshiba has pioneered heat pump technology for more than 50 years. Its units are field-tested in Finland and other Nordic countries and Eurovent-certified, so the stated efficiency values remain dependable in freezing weather.
Toshiba's inverter technology adjusts compressor output continuously and maintains an even temperature, much like driving at a steady speed instead of repeatedly accelerating. The result is higher efficiency and lower electricity use.
The plasma filter and ioniser in the dual filtration system remove impurities, odours and pollen from indoor air. The filtration itself requires no additional electricity, so it can be used throughout the year.
Toshiba was among the first to adopt the lower-impact R32 refrigerant, which significantly reduces CO₂ emissions. Half of the heat produced by the unit comes from renewable energy in the outdoor air.
Remote control via Wi-Fi or the mobile network is available for every unit. Adjust the temperature, switch the unit on before arriving home and set low- and high-temperature alerts.

SCOP indicates seasonal efficiency: the higher the figure, the more heat the unit produces per kilowatt-hour of electricity. The best Toshiba models reach up to 5.5, placing them among the leaders in their class. Always check that the figure was measured in conditions comparable to Finland.
A high-quality air source heat pump typically lasts about 15–20 years. Careful professional installation and regular maintenance help extend its service life and maintain efficiency.
